Please people just remember that these skill changes are temporary. And Anet has asked us to give our opinons on these changes. Soo please, please do not fill up these forums with 'NERF!' gobbly gook.

Hey....A-Net Isn't always late....

Winters day came early if I remember right.

Lets not bash the makers of the game that we (including myself) are so obsessed about. That really doesn't make sense.

Not exactly. The Wintersday update came "on time," but at the very end of the day (whereas most people expected it at Noon). They hadn't put an exact ETA. Gaile defended it by stating "it wasn't the end of the day."

Seriously, NCSoft has good lawyers.

You ever tried to finish something close to closing time, only to realize you just went over?

I bet someone's in a meeting, so i doubt they had a chance to post information just yet.

Unfortunately there is a delay. The staff is still working on the patch and completing the final adjustments in order to ensure that everything will run smoothly - it seems that some developers were unable to work during the last days due to being stuck as Seattle was hit by snowstorms this entire week. The update will be released, but I am unable to specify the exact time at this point. I will keep you updated regardless and post the patch notes in the forum as soon as we are ready.

Sigh, to say again, why is communiction so hard, even with devs that try their best?

BTW to one of the above kids, Skill Balance this weekend is temp too.

They're providing open testing sessions for people to get stuck in and provide constructive feedback on the proposed changes and people still finding a reason to complain about that? C'mon, as someone who is a proponent of criticism ("complaints" if you will) even I think that's a bit much...

Think about it this way, if this test goes well and the dev team get good constructive feedback, it could pave the way for future test weekends and things. The ball is in the court of the GW players right now.

Skill Balance this weekend is a test. From Gaile herself.

Everytime I stay up for updates I'm let down. So I'm just not gonna do it anymore and then maybe nothing bad will happen.

I hope they get it up and running soon, but I'm guessing 3-7 hours from now.

Having a delayed event or two is acceptable. Having multiple delayed events and waiting until the last moment possible to tell us is not acceptable.

Seriously. Get it together.

We are all helpless against the power of Mother Nature. And since nearly half of the dev team were stranded in their homes during the storms that has hit Washington, it is understandable that there would be a delay. I mean who among us would risk our lives just to get a game update on time? If any answer yes I have a bridge to sell you in San Fransico real cheap.

I'd like to second the point made by Xenrath. I'm as critical as anyone else of Anet, even to the point of being unfair occasionally.

However, in this instance, Anet is offering an event for the public to be a more active part of testing they don't have to, with a loose, non-specific time given. Complaining about lateness seems downright crass at this point, even without the issue of the snowstorm.
